After being bound to a “set out” schedule last year I decided to venture into the realm of an eclectic homeschooling curriculum.

What an adventure it has been!

Before we began the school year the kids and I sat down and thought up different themes for our school week and each Monday I post our new theme.

They love it.

We then build our school week around that theme.  Math, English, Science…everything.

This week our theme was the forest. We started our the week with a animal hunt. We followed footprints around the house and then had to try and identify what animals we discovered. The kids had a blast (and so did I!).

Montessori print shop and my laminator have been lifesavers this homeschooling year!

I also finally splurged and treated ourselves to a sensory bin. I finished setting it up and busted it out for some forest sensory play this morning. Yay!
